Who this suits
Many people come to us with one of these three. If yours is not here, the conditions page has the rest of what we see.

An ache that started after a lift, a long drive or a week at a desk, or one that has quietly settled in.

Pain, pins and needles or numbness that travels from the lower back into the buttock or down the leg.

Headaches that start at the base of the skull, often alongside a stiff or tender neck.
Your first visit
Four steps in about 45 minutes, in the order they happen.

Time to discuss your history before the examination begins.

First your posture and how you move. Then your spine, one level at a time, by hand and with an instrument that reads heat along the spine. Simple checks of your reflexes, strength and sensation check how your nerves are working.
Together with your history, this tells Dr Arthur where to look.

X-rays are taken on site only when the examination calls for them. Any fee is explained before a film is taken.
Whether imaging is needed is considered from your history and examination findings.

Dr Arthur explains what he found in plain language, what he recommends, how many visits he expects to start with, and the cost. If a first adjustment is clinically indicated, it happens at this visit.
The proposed plan is discussed before you decide on care.
A conversation about your history, a full Gonstead examination, X-rays only if clinically indicated, and a report of findings where Dr Arthur explains what he found and recommends. If a first adjustment is clinically indicated, it happens at this visit. Allow about 45 minutes.
Only if the examination calls for them. X-rays are taken on site, the fee is $169 and it is explained before a film is taken. Whether you need them depends on what the examination finds.
It is a specific, quick movement at one level of the spine, with you positioned so the rest of the spine is not twisted. Most people describe pressure and a release. Dr Arthur explains each step before he does it.
That depends on what the examination finds and how long the problem has been there. Dr Arthur gives you his recommendation and the reasons for it at your report of findings, and reviews progress as you go.
No. You can book directly online or by phone. If you have scans or reports from your doctor or a specialist, bring them along.
