Discuss your symptoms and health history, followed by a Gonstead examination. Imaging is considered only when clinically indicated.
3. Begin adjustments and give your body time
If treatment and recommendations are clinically indicated, your first adjustment may happen at this visit. Your body needs time between visits, and progress is reviewed as you go.

Gonstead and neurological examination
First your posture and how you move. Then your spine, one level at a time, by hand and with an instrument that reads heat along the spine. Simple checks of your reflexes, strength and sensation check how your nerves are working.
Together with your history, this tells Dr Arthur where to look.
X-rays if clinically indicated
X-rays are taken on site only when the examination calls for them. Any fee is explained before a film is taken.
Whether imaging is needed is considered from your history and examination findings.
Report of findings
Dr Arthur explains what he found in plain language, what he recommends, how many visits he expects to start with, and the cost. If a first adjustment is clinically indicated, it happens at this visit.
The proposed plan is discussed before you decide on care.

Dr Arthur Kaganovitch
I came to chiropractic because I wanted to spend my working life helping people in pain work towards getting back to what they were doing before it started. I graduated from the chiropractic double degree at RMIT in Melbourne. I work between two clinics, Advanced Chiropractic here in Mulgrave and Aura Chiropractic in Toorak.
I practise the Gonstead System because it is specific. The examination tells me which level of the spine is involved, and the adjustment is directed at that level rather than at the whole region. Away from the clinic you will find me reading, at the gym, on a tennis court or in a martial arts class.
