In the clinic
How I work

1. A thorough examination first
Every visit starts with finding the level involved, not the general area.

2. X-rays only when indicated
X-ray on site, used when the examination calls for it and never as routine.

3. Plain language
You hear what was found, what is recommended and why, before anything is done.

About
Hi, I’m Dr Arthur.
I came to chiropractic because I wanted to spend my working life helping people in pain work towards getting back to what they were doing before it started. That is still how I see the job: work out what is behind the pain, say so plainly, and do something specific about it.
I graduated from the chiropractic double degree at RMIT in Melbourne. Gonstead is the system I practise: visualisation, instrumentation, static and motion palpation, and X-ray where it is indicated, each read separately and cross checked against the others before anything is adjusted.
Most of the people who come to see me arrive with lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica or headaches, often after weeks or months of it. Everyone gets the same start: a full history, a Gonstead examination, X-rays only where the examination calls for them, and a report of findings before any care begins.
I am the sole practitioner here, so the person who examines you at your first visit is the person who looks after you at every visit after it. Away from the clinic you will find me reading, at the gym, on a tennis court or in a martial arts class.

“I practise the Gonstead System because it is specific. The examination tells me which level of the spine is involved, and the adjustment is directed at that level rather than at the whole region.”
Dr Arthur Kaganovitch
The Gonstead System, a full-spine approach that uses examination and, where indicated, X-ray analysis to find the specific level to adjust.
Yes. The examination and the adjustment are adapted to age and build.
